What is Affirming the Consequence?

If P, then Q. Q. Therefore, P. Just because Q is true doesn’t mean P is the only cause.

Example

If the country is corrupted, people will lose faith in the government.

People lost faith in the government.

Therefore, the country is corrupted.

Just beacuse people lost faith in the government doesn't mean the country is corrupted, it could be because of other reasons that the people lose faith in the government this time.
